Paleo Apple Crumble

On Thursday night I was meant to go out with a friend.. but hamas kinda ruined our plans by shooting rockets at Tel Aviv. and then took a shot at Jerusalem. ( Hold on.. isn;t this meant to be their holy city too?! um.. so why exactly are you shooting rockets at it?) REALLY hamas?? you’re just shooting randomly at our cities? Why oh WHY the world still refuses to see the truth about what is going on I will just never understand. The Israeli army drop warning leaflets to Gazan Civillians and then goes about specific TARGET attacks ( the fact that hamas like to hide in schools and hospitals is their problem) and we are the big evil badies?

I don’t get it. I just don’t get it…

I would love to know what any other country would do if they had rockets being fired at them constantly? Not just the last few days that have made international news… but a constant barrage of rockets.

So instead of going out I did some emotional cooking…..My roommate and I went a little crazy:

chicken, moussaka, vegetables, soup, more vegetables, sweet potato pie, crumble…

I had a  little kitchen helper…

And another one….

For the topping:

1 cup almond flour

1 cup coconut flour

9 dates

2 tablespoons butter

Blend everything together

for the filling:

6 green apples chopped up, mix with raisins ( optional), lots of cinnamon – squeeze over half a lemon

Sprinkle the topping over the apples

Ready for the oven…

Sadly there was no after the oven photo

1. because the lighting was bad

2. we ate it up pretty quickly.

Cook on 180 until the top is golden brown and the apples are soft.

If there was anyway to send a whole ton of these to all our brave soldiers I would do it in a second.

Please pray for the safety of our soldiers… they are just regular people like me and you… one day at work or university and the next day called up for duty because we have madmen shooting at us.
